About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join a supportive healthcare team in Carleton Place, Ontario. This role is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about providing high-quality resident-centered care while working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
The successful candidate will play an essential role in supporting residents' health, safety, and well-being while ensuring clinical excellence and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and clinical support to residents in accordance with professional nursing standards and organizational policies
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor residents' health status and report any changes in condition
- Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, and families to ensure coordinated care
- Support and supervise Personal Support Workers and other care staff as required
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control practices
- Respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate nursing interventions
Qualifications
- Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Previous experience in long-term care, retirement, or community healthcare considered an asset
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
