Overview

We're looking for a Sandwich Maker/Customer Service team member. In this role, you'll be the heart of our operation -- making Vietnamese sandwiches and providing warm & friendly hospitality, and helping with food preparation. Your genuine care for others, strong attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will help create a welcoming experience for customers while ensuring every menu item meets our quality standards

We're looking for an opener/day person - shift example: 9:30am - 4pm

Shift times may vary depending on team/shop needs. 4-6 days per week.

More hours available starting at the end of August.

Tip pool - tips are not guaranteed but they are typically an extra $2-4 per hour worked on your paycheque

Responsibilities

- Prepare sandwiches and food items efficiently and accurately according to recipes
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders , and provide friendly, attentive service
- Operate POS system (Square) to process transactions quickly and accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, adhering to food safety guidelines and sanitation protocols
- Restock ingredients & supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Assist with food handling duties, including slicing,



assembling ingredients, and maintaining proper food storage practices
- Upsell menu items by sharing add-ons or upgrades to enhance the customer experience

Skills

- Experience in food preparation and food service environments, preferably in restaurants or fast-casual restaurant settings
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours while maintaining quality standards
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills, positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating initiative and reliability
- Able to quickly go up and down stairs (we have a basement kitchen)

Experience in making Vietnamese food or an interest in it is an asset!

Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
