Become a vital part of the Faculty of Trades & Technology as a Divisional Program Technician in Metal Trades. Support students and faculty through tool repairs, material preparation, and shop oversight.

This role focuses on assisting various trade programs with hands-on support. You will monitor student activities, maintain inventory, and ensure safe tool handling. Ideal candidates will have strong multitasking abilities and experience in a shop environment while adhering to WHMIS and WCB procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor student activities in the shop workplace
- Repair tools and maintain necessary inventory
- Prepare materials for hands-on learning
- Ensure safe operation of machinery and tools
- Help maintain forklift/shop vehicles as required

Requirements:

- Minimum C Level Welding Ticket
- Forklift certification and operation experience
- Knowledge of WHMIS and WCB procedures
- Demonstrated experience in a trades-focused shop
- Strong communication skills in English
