Implement behaviour management and educational strategies that facilitate student learning
Communicate effectively with students using age appropriate positive reinforcements and/or school specific behaviour strategies
Observe student behaviour with focus on achieving positive behavioural/educational outcomes and mitigate/prevent negative ones
Provide high level of structure to facilitate completion of required learning outcomes
Work and play at students physical level of their activities
Provide support in use of adaptive and learning technologies using a variety of devices and associated programs
Successfully implement the Positive Behaviour Plan(PBP), if required
Medical Procedures such as Catheter, Tube feeding, Feeding and swallowing support, toileting, or diabetic monitoring may be required
Able to understand, implement and support modified curriculum
Able to work with and support students with Autism or complex medical needs
Able to work with students with emotional, behavioural or other disabilities
Physically handle and transfer students when unsafe
Physical ability to lift and move students
Provide school directed indoor and outdoor student supervision
Employee is expected to work with behaviours related/associated with conduct, obsessive/compulsive, trauma and stress related, severe chronic depressive, feeding and/or eating disorders etc. Other behaviours related to ADHD, emotional, behavioural or other disabilities
The successful candidate will be required to provide a Criminal Reference Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check. FMCSD will contact past and present employers for references. All FMCSD employees are expected to be computer literate; this includes fluency with e-mail, Internet and MS Office.

Pay: $22.72-$23.53 per hour
