As a Branch Manager Advisor you spend roughly 40‑50% of your time advising clients as a Financial Advisor and 50‑60% leading the branch. You are the local market leader responsible for retail performance, driving business growth, new client acquisition and deepening relationships.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team to deliver an exceptional client experience by leading with advice and leveraging RBC’s full suite of solutions.
- Champion digital enablement, educating clients to self‑serve and encouraging communication in channels of choice.
- Lead the team from the front and actively engage clients, offering complex advice and modeling teamwork.
- Remain locally connected and motivate the team to proactively engage clients and Centers of Influence.
- Strategically manage capacity across advisors using skill sets, mobility, and traffic flow to drive client contacts.
- Model, coach and champion the Leadership Model, showing empathy, kindness and understanding.
- Advocate for inclusion, ensuring team members and clients feel valued and have belonging.
- Develop team proficiency, coach on capability, and drive performance for current and future roles.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).
- Completed Branch Compliance Officer course or ability to complete exam within 4 months.
- Entrepreneurial business acquisition mindset.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in both business and personal banking.
- Minimum 3 years in a people‑management role.
- Canada (excluding Quebec): Completed DFSA designation via Canadian Securities Institute.
- Quebec: Completed Certificate of Achievement in Personal Finance via Canadian Securities Institute.
