Position Overview
Full‑time tenure‑track or tenured Nurse Practitioner at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank, commencing January1,2026 or a mutually agreed date. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate nursing courses using on‑site or various distance educational modalities.
- Supervise and mentor graduate students.
- Develop and maintain an ongoing funded scholarly or research program.
- Provide leadership in service to the College, University, qualified and academic communities, committees, and related activities.
Qualifications – Assistant Professor
- Doctoral prepared with a PhD in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, or Doctor of Nursing preferred.
- Registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba with an RN(NP) designation is required.
- Evidence of a program of research and scholarship, including funded research and peer‑reviewed publications.
- Evidence of effective teaching.
Qualifications – Associate Professor
- Doctoral prepared with a PhD in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, or Doctor of Nursing preferred.
- Registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba with an RN(NP) designation is required.
- An established scholarly or research record in health care,
including peer‑reviewed publications and demonstrated ability to obtain competitive research grants.
- Established research/scholarly networks.
- Track record of excellence in teaching, course development, and supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Relevant clinical background and evidence of a well‑developed scholarly activity program.
