Our client, a publicly listed, entrepreneurial minded, global manufacturing company is hiring a new Finance Manager, FP&A; for their corporate office!
Position Overview:
This corporate finance role is responsible for providing financial review and analysis leadership for all global divisions.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership over the financial review and analysis of Budget, Forecasting and Actuals through clear, timely, critical and actionable insight
Take initiative to improve financial tools, processes, and reports that provide value added analysis and forecast/budget accuracy
Take on Projects which require original thought problem solving and holistic analysis for large scale investments and strategic decision making
Complete critical analysis and recommendations with respect to Customer commercial concerns
Serve as a key resource to the Controllership and accounting department teams (decentralized environment)
Prepare analysis and presentation material for monthly Executive meetings and quarterly Board of Director Meetings
Be a key resource in formulating and implementing Corporate Finance initiatives
Oversight responsibility for strengthening internal controls over financial reporting environment (Bill 198 compliance within a TSX listed public company)
Research accounting matters and provide solutions for policy and application
Effectively interact with the Company's external and internal auditors to proactively identify and resolve issues as well as meet key deadlines
Preferred Qualification and Critical Success Factors:
Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is preferred
Prior experience in a leadership role is preferred
Experience with SAP is preferred
Hands-on experience in a financial reporting, planning and analysis role in a decentralized and geographically dispersed setting (automotive manufacturing environment is preferred)
An independent critical and logical thinker who displays attention to detail
A high degree of initiative, self-starter nature
Desire and ability to learn about the business and develop the necessary link between operations and finance
Displays leadership within a financially driven organization
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
Knowledge of Bill 198 internal control requirements
Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and Power Point
Good humoured and a team player
Global travel is anticipated (up to approximately 25%)
