Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to work on a 9-month contract. The key responsibilities of the Senior Accountant are:

- Responsible for the end-to-end process related to the monthly consolidation process.
- Provides guidance and best practice relating to complex intercompany transactions.
- Responsible for ensuring consolidation and financial statements are in accordance with ASPE.
- Leads the consolidation automation project.
- Responsible for the quarterly compliance process including the preparation of MD& A documents and the calculations of required compliance ratios.
- Responsible for the preparation of annual financial statements with notes, cash flow proof
- Responsible for addressing auditor requests related to consolidation, intercompany transactions and financial statements
- Responsible to assess the impact of recent accounting standards
- Responsible for the review and assessment of new complex transactions
- Responsible for government surveys
- Responsible for responding to financial related requests from external parties
- Supervise and coach project accountant(s).
- Other duties as required by the business.
