This is a 12‑month maternity leave contract. As a Business Analyst, you will focus on defining, refining and delivering business and process solutions, with a focus on the Guidewire suite of applications. Your role will include eliciting and documenting business requirements, facilitating walkthroughs planning UAT, and supporting change through deployments. You are the intersection of business and technology, ensuring solutions meet business needs, quality and performance. You will drive system and process changes,
managing your deliverable against set timelines for successful project and maintenance release deployments.What You Will Do
Partner with business stakeholders across various departments including IT, underwriting, claims and finance to gather and document business requirements using both Agile and Waterfall approachesPerform business process mapping, gap analysis and impact assessments to inform, influence and align refined requirementsFacilitate review and sign‑off of requirement artifacts, working with IT and other teams to validate feasibility and alignmentInspire stakeholders in the art of the possible and utilize best practices to influence optimal solution designEnsure test process, methodologies and tools are applied appropriatelyDevelop and document test scenarios, test matrices, and execute system integration testingLead or participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and post‑acceptance testing (PAT) after system implementationActively participate in the post‑implementation support and review phaseAssist in updating system tables and files accurately when changes are requested, including product configuration and admin setupAssist in communicating to management, team leaders and trainers on any new or changed functionality of a systemProvide technical support for clients via phone and e‑mail to accurately record a detailed description of known issue,
and work with cross‑functional teams to address in a timely mannerPlease note, salary range is not inclusive of total compensation. The expected salary range for this position will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. Post‑secondary education in Business or Information TechnologyMinimum 5 years’ proven experience in the insurance industry preferredMinimum 2 years experience as a Business Analyst, Testing Analyst or Business Consultant in an Agile environmentMinimum 2 years Guidewire experience requiredCIP, CRM, CBAP, CAPM, PMP preferred but not requiredBilingual (English and French) is nice to haveStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environmentStrong analytical and problem‑solving skillsExcellent written communication, verbal communication and presentation skillsStrong technical acumen and demonstrated experience in data gathering, data analysis, data back‑filling and the creation of conceptual and logical modelsPlease note that we may use AI tools to help us through the recruitment process.Our Commitment
