Our client, a large enterprise organization, is seeking a Governance & Controls Consultant with Human Resources for a 6‑month contract opportunity, with robust potential for extension.This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence 1-3 days per week (including Mondays and the first Friday of each month) at a downtown Toronto office. The role focuses on supporting governance, risk, and control activities, with an emphasis on process documentation, compliance, and operational risk management within the Human Resources function.Key Responsibilities
Provide guidance on design, implementation, and enhancement of controls aligned with internal frameworks within HRSupport development and maintenance of process documentation to meet governance and audit standards within HRPartner with Human Resources Stakeholders to identify and mitigate operational and regulatory risksAssess effectiveness of controls and recommend improvements where neededSupport Human Resources data governance and records management practices,



including control assessmentsCollaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure consistency in governance practicesContribute to continuous improvement of HR control frameworks and processesPrepare materials and insights for stakeholders and senior leadershipMust‑Have Requirements
5+ years of experience in governance, risk, and controls with some experience in Human Resources or 5+ years experience in Human Resources with experience in design and testing of Internal Controls and GovernanceStrong experience working with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teamsSolid understanding of process documentation and control frameworksExperience within large enterprise or complex organizational environmentsStrong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skillsAbility to influence and drive outcomes in a collaborative environmentNice‑to‑Have
Experience in data governance or records managementExperience building dashboards (e.G., "Power BI")Experience working with SharePoint or similar toolsSoft Skills
