Under the general supervision of the Manager Health Services, the Clinical Practice Nurse – Registered Nurse (RN) provides skilled registered nursing services for patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs. These services include independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, a leadership role within the health care team, and coordination of patient care and discharge.
Education
- Post‑graduate course in ICU nursing or equivalent experience required.
Certification & Licensure
- Current CRNM registration required.
- Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
- Annual BLS Level C Registration/Re‑Registration is required.
Qualifications
- Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
- If there are no applicants meeting the qualifications, the employer may consider an applicant who does not meet the above qualifications.
This maternity/parental term may expire sooner than the date indicated, subject to written notice of a minimum two (2) weeks, or one (1) pay period, whichever is longer.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
