About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Executive Officer to guide the organization through a significant phase of growth and recent initiatives. The successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison between the organization, government agencies, and Inuit entities at the operational level. Key responsibilities for the CEO include developing and executing a comprehensive strategic plan, ensuring the implementation of the Board's directives, and upholding the organization's mission of promoting Inuit economic, social, and cultural well-being. The role demands a leader who can effectively manage change, maintain the organization's fiscal integrity, and foster strong relationships with various stakeholders.





Applicants for the CEO position at the company should possess a degree or diploma in business administration or a related field, with an MBA being a preferred qualification. A minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior management role is required, along with a proven track record in strategic planning, budget management, and staff leadership. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Nunavut Agreement, the company's governance systems, and a strong background in business operations. Sensitivity to Inuit issues, fluency in Inuktitut or Inuinnaqtun, and the ability to work in a politically sensitive environment are also essential. The CEO will be expected to promote corporate social responsibility, represent the organization to the public, and ensure compliance with all legal and financial obligations.
