About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for its Foundation, which is dedicated to the advancement of mental health care. The CEO will be responsible for the performance of the Foundation, setting and achieving strategic goals in alignment with the Board of Directors and the mission of the Foundation. This role involves developing and executing fundraising strategies, leading the Foundation team, and fostering a culture of performance. The successful candidate will work closely with the Hospital's senior leadership and clinical colleagues, and must be adept at building and sustaining relationships, particularly in the context of fundraising and community engagement.





Candidates for the CEO position should have a university degree in a related discipline, with a preference for a CFRE designation. A solid background in senior management or executive leadership within a nonprofit organization is essential, with a focus on fundraising and donor relations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in soliciting major gifts and be adept at engaging with a variety of stakeholders. Business acumen, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to lead and inspire a team are also key requirements. Experience in the healthcare sector, particularly in the Durham Region, and a deep understanding of the issues facing the community, are considered assets.
