Civil and Commercial Litigation Law Clerk/Paralegal

MGM Full Time Hamilton, ON $60,000 - $70,000 CAD per year

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Law Clerk/Paralegal to join Legal Counsel Matt Moloci in his Civil and Commercial Litigation practice. The successful candidate will work on a broad range of complex and interesting files, providing the opportunity to hone their skills in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. Working directly with counsel, you will enjoy meaningful involvement in diverse litigation matters and contribute to delivering the exceptional client service and results that define our firm.

Key Responsibilities:

- Preparing, assembling and organizing legal documents including, but not limited to, pleadings, discovery and affidavits of documents
- Preparing trial briefs, exhibits and motions as required
- Filing court documents in compliance with procedural rules
- Maintaining electronic document files and correspondence
- Managing crucial dates, deadlines and calendars
- Liaise with clients, court staff, and other legal professionals as directed
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications

- Post-secondary education (college diploma or certificate in Law Clerk or Paralegal studies)
- At least 5 years' experience in civil litigation
- Strong understanding of Rules of Civil Procedure
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Automated Civil Litigation (“ACL”)



and practice-management software (LEAP) would be an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, positive, and cooperative approach
- Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario (ILCO) certification and/or membership in good standing and/or a valid Law Society of Ontario (LSO) Paralegal License are considered assets

Expected compensation:

$60,000 to $70,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
