Duties
The AS-01 Finance and Administration Officer is responsible for material management, financial, administrative and information management functions including procurement of goods and services, conducting inventories, and accommodations.This position provides accounting services; information and advice; budget monitoring and reports; forecasting; and general administrative services for purchasing, contract administration, information management, informatics support; human resources.This position is a key position that ensures financial policies are being adhered within their site location.

Intent of the process The intent of the process is to fill two full-time positions.Term employment. Six-month term positions with the possibility of extension.One position is located in Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON and one position is located in Hamilton, ON.The results of this process will be used to build a list of qualified candidates to staff future vacancies at the same group and level with various tenures (indeterminate, seasonal, temporary, full-time, part-time, casual/ as-and-when), security levels or linguistic requirements in same or other parts of the country.

- EducationED: A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training, experience or traditional knowledge relevant to position.Preference may be given to Candidates with financial background or education.
- Experience
- EX1: Recent* experience using Financial Management Systems (such as SAP and/or BI).
- EX2: Recent* computer experience using word processing, spreadsheet software programs and financial systems, with emphasis on Excel spreadsheets and word processing.
- EX3: Recent* experience in financial management including budget monitoring, forecasting, analysis and reporting
- EX4: Recent* experience in managing contracts, addressing administration and procurement requirements
- EX5: Recent* experience in processing accounts payables, receivables and financial reconciliations
- EX6: Experience in providing advice to managers on finance and travel*Recent experience is defined as gained within the last three (3) years.
