Executive Intern – Oak Valley Health

The Executive Intern will work closely with senior leadership and directors to support the planning and execution of high-priority projects that advance Oak Valley Health’s strategic priorities. The role offers exposure to hospital operations, strategic planning, and direct interaction with program directors, clinical leadership, and external partners such as the Ministry of Health.

Responsibilities

- Conduct preliminary analysis and define the scope of assigned projects in partnership with project sponsors.
- Identify and engage key project stakeholders.
- Develop project charters, schedules, change‑management plans, and other project‑management documents.
- Facilitate data collection, decision making, and project working group meetings.
- Execute project plans and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage scope, deliverables, and related matters.
- Anticipate problems and implement corrective‑action strategies.
- Seek guidance from internal or external experts when necessary.
- Escalate issues and problems to the supervisor, project sponsor, and/or steering committee as required.
- Support the execution of business‑case development, strategic plans, and implementation strategies for clinical and administrative programs.
- Attend meetings with executive and governance stakeholders, and present project outcomes at executive and clinical levels.
- Attend on‑site and off‑site meetings (e.g., Ministry of Health, Ontario Health)



when required.

Qualifications

- Enrolled in a graduate degree program in health or business administration.
- Available for internship from September2026 to December2026.
- Experience with projects focused on health care and with defined deliverables (asset).
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience with, developing and maintaining project‑management plans.
- Proven ability to deliver results on time and within budget.
- Highly developed facilitation, consultation, and negotiation skills; strong time‑management.
- Solid knowledge of the health‑care industry and experience in health‑care or non‑profit environments (asset).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Leadership experience leading multidisciplinary teams.

Work Schedule

Fall Term; Monday toFriday. Schedules may change due to operational needs.
