Restorative Care Aide

Status: Full Time, Permanent

Location: On site at 635 Prince Charles Drive North, Welland, Ontario

Royal Rose, a fully accredited long‑term care home in Welland, serves 160 residents and is located in the heart of Niagara.

Overview

The Restorative Care Aide, under the direction of the Restorative Care Coordinator, delivers restorative care services focused on promoting resident independence and safety. Key duties include direct resident care (ADLs, mobility, feeding), assessment and execution of therapy programs (physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy), documentation of resident status and progress, adherence to safety and OHSA guidelines, participation in CQI and Risk Management, interdisciplinary collaboration, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Traits

- Completion of a restorative care training program or enrollment in such a program.
- Completion of a relevant training course supervised by a qualified therapist registered with the appropriate college.
- Demonstrated interest in ongoing education.
- Flexibility, innovation, and creativity.




- Experience in geriatric rehabilitation or Long Term Care (Gerontology) is an asset.
- Computer literacy.
