Your expertise in civil and poverty law will be instrumental in promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion within the framework of Truth and Reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Liaise with Indigenous communities to provide legal support
• Collect and review intake materials for referrals
• Assess client issues and determine legal needs
• Conduct meetings and provide legal advice to clients
• Prepare self-help materials on civil law issues
Requirements:
• Experience in civil and poverty law advocacy
• Solid communication and relationship-building skills
• Commitment to Truth and Reconciliation principles
• Background in working with Indigenous communities
• Ability to conduct community legal education sessions
