Become a fundamental part of a Long Term Care team as a Physiotherapy Assistant. Help residents engage in meaningful rehabilitation exercises tailored to their specific treatment plans.
This position requires close collaboration with the supervising Physiotherapist to assist residents with exercises and implement treatment protocols effectively. You will encourage residents towards their rehabilitation goals, document their progress after therapy sessions, and monitor health changes to ensure their safety and comfort. Familiarity with various treatments like ultrasound therapy, TENS, and applying hot/cold packs will be crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct group and individualized therapy sessions
• Document resident progress and treatment sessions




• Assist residents with activities like walking and safe transferring
• Monitor and report resident health changes
• Perform treatment procedures as instructed
Requirements:
• Graduation from a Physiotherapy Assistant program
• Previous experience in Long Term Care settings
• Robust multitasking and communication abilities
• Current police check for Vulnerable Sector
• Valid TB Test and access to transportation
