Join Stantec as a Structural Engineer focusing on mining today. Bring your expertise in structural design for heavy industrial projects while working in a hybrid environment with a minimum of two days in the office.
At Stantec, you will be part of the Energy and Resources team, engaging in projects that range from studies to detailed engineering. This role requires leading structural design work within mining and heavy industrial infrastructure. You will collaborate with diverse teams and clients, providing solutions that meet specific project needs while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform structural design and analysis of heavy industrial structures
• Develop designs using sketches, hand calculations, and analysis software




• Coach and mentor EITs and designers in their development
• Conduct quality assurance and control in projects
• Prepare project specifications and attend coordination meetings
Requirements:
• P. Eng. registration in Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, or BC
• 12-15 years of structural engineering experience
• Robust knowledge of structural design codes
• Familiarity with mining infrastructure projects
• Willingness to travel for site visits
