About the Opportunity:

We're partnering with a rapidly growing founder-led media and education company that helps entrepreneurs and business leaders scale through world-class content, education, and business growth strategies.

We're looking for an experienced YouTube strategist who knows how to build channels that consistently grow audiences, increase watch time, and establish industry authority.

This is far more than a content planning role.

You'll own the strategy behind an established YouTube channel, working directly with a high-profile founder to develop compelling content, optimize performance, and build scalable systems that drive long-term growth.

You'll collaborate with editors, producers, and marketers while leading the creative direction behind every stage of the YouTube content lifecycle—from ideation and production through packaging, publishing, and optimization.

What You'll Do

- Lead the overall YouTube content strategy to drive subscriber growth, watch time, engagement, and brand authority.
- Develop content concepts, recurring series, and programming aligned with audience interests and business goals.
- Own video packaging, including titles, thumbnails, hooks, positioning, and publishing strategy.
- Direct in-person filming sessions and collaborate closely with on-camera talent to capture engaging content.
- Develop scripts, creative briefs, and production plans that maximize filming efficiency and content quality.
- Analyze YouTube performance metrics including CTR, audience retention, average view duration,



watch time, subscriber growth, and viewer behavior to continuously improve performance.
- Stay ahead of YouTube trends, platform updates, and audience preferences to identify new growth opportunities.
- Provide strategic direction and creative feedback to editors, contractors, and production partners.
- Build scalable workflows and content systems that support long-term channel growth.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience developing YouTube strategies, online video content, or digital media.
- Demonstrated success growing YouTube channels with measurable performance results.
- Deep understanding of YouTube algorithms, audience psychology, retention strategies, storytelling, and content packaging.
- Experience directing on-camera talent and leading content production.
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting YouTube Analytics and using data to improve performance.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Willingness and ability to relocate to Kelowna, British Columbia and work on-site full time.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience building creator brands, media brands, or founder-led businesses.
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
- Background in entrepreneurship, SaaS, business education, coaching, or creator-focused businesses.
- Experience managing creative teams, editors, or production partners.
- Familiarity with thumbnail testing, audience research, and advanced YouTube optimization strategies.
