Lead Toronto Water's environmental compliance efforts as a full time Environmental Health & Safety Manager. This strategic role focuses on safety, compliance, and emergency preparedness in a complex operational environment.
In this permanent position, you will report directly to the Director, Environment, Energy and Emergency Planning. Your leadership will guide multidisciplinary teams to enhance safety cultures, compliance frameworks, and quality management initiatives. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in environmental compliance, health and safety, and emergency management, contributing significantly to organizational resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead environmental compliance and occupational health and safety programs
• Advise senior leadership on compliance risks and development changes




• Oversee compliance monitoring, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Build partnerships with internal stakeholders and regulators
• Manage day-to-day operations and performance evaluation
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in relevant fields
• Extensive management experience in compliance and safety
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation
• Proven leadership in multidisciplinary team settings
• Valid Class 'G' Driver’s License for Ontario
