Kawartha Lakes Fire Services seeks a Fire Prevention Inspector responsible for delivering fire safety education programs and enforcing regulations. The ideal candidate will develop public education initiatives and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with fire safety codes. This role requires traveling throughout the City of Kawartha Lakes and responding to community inquiries regarding fire safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver fire prevention education programs to residents
• Conduct inspections of buildings for compliance




• Enforce fire regulations and issue compliance orders
• Prepare reports, presentations, and seminars on fire safety
• Investigate fire scenes to determine causes
Requirements:
• Diploma in Fire Prevention and Fire Protection Engineering
• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
• OFMEM Fire Prevention Officer certification
• Three years of fire inspection experience
• Knowledge of relevant fire safety legislation
