The Packaging Operator is responsible for performing manual and/or basic machine-assisted packaging of finished goods in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures products are packaged accurately, safely, and efficiently while meeting quality standards and production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Package finished products according to company specifications and production schedules
- Inspect products for defects, damage, or inconsistencies before packaging
- Label, seal, and prepare items for shipment or storage
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and hygiene standards
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
- Report any product quality issues or equipment concerns to the supervisor
- Assist with basic setup or changeover of packaging materials as required
- Ensure accurate counts and proper documentation of packaged goods
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or packaging workplace is an asset
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
