About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Court-Based Client Services to provide strategic and operational leadership in the delivery of front-line court-based services, staff lawyer representation, and province-wide telephone summary legal advice in criminal and family law. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, accessible services for low-income clients, driving modernization, and strengthening the service delivery system. This role also includes executive responsibility for the Indigenous Services portfolio, with a focus on culturally appropriate, trauma-informed supports, and advancing reconciliation-focused, equity-driven strategies. The VP will be a key member of the executive team, shaping service delivery models, leading modernization initiatives,



and fostering collaboration across internal teams, the justice sector, and community stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a senior lawyer and experienced executive leader with a solid understanding of the justice system, particularly in Ontario. They should have a proven track record of leading large, unionized teams, managing significant budgets, and improving operational performance while ensuring high-quality, client-focused legal services. The role requires a leader skilled in modernization and change, with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes, including the judiciary, private bar, Indigenous communities, and justice partners, with credibility and political acuity. Cultural humility, a commitment to reconciliation, and strong communication, relationship-building, and people-centered leadership skills are essential for advancing the company's strategic plan and strengthening access to justice.
