Responsibilities

- Perform a quantitative evaluation of materials and manpower required for the work deemed decisive and verify the quantities given by the estimators.
- Prepare the summary of quantities according to the plans and specs, sorting them according to the standardized sections and functions of the trades involved.
- Identify project‑specific prices related to key items including labor, equipment, and materials.
- Grow and maintain strong relationships with trade partners, consultants and clients to achieve project goals and vision.
- Thoroughly review all received amounts from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring their alignment with bid documents during compilation and bid closings.
- Take part in and/or coordinate the various parties involved in the estimation of a design‑build project.
- Support in the search for new contacts—subcontractors, suppliers, and work providers.
- Suggest and quantify alternatives to bid documents to reduce construction costs of bid projects.
- Act as a role model and mentor for junior team members, providing coaching and guidance on best practices and trade secrets.

Qualifications





- A university degree or college diploma in construction project estimation or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in estimating within the ICI construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of excavation and formwork.
- Previous experience leading and mentoring junior team members.
- Strong experience working with estimation software.
