About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Executive Underwriter with a focus on property expertise to join their team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the profitable growth and strategic development of the company's programs portfolio. This role requires a professional with a solid background in commercial P&C; underwriting, particularly in the areas of property underwriting and programs/portfolio management. Key responsibilities include leading the underwriting oversight of a portfolio of programs, conducting program reviews, driving portfolio segmentation strategies, and contributing to the creation and scaling of new programs.



The role also involves providing technical leadership on complex property risks, managing relationships with MGAs and brokers, and ensuring the alignment of underwriting standards with the company's risk appetite.

Applicants for this position should have a minimum of 7 years' of experience in commercial P&C; underwriting, with a proven track record in building or managing insurance programs and underwriting complex property risks. The role demands a deep understanding of property wordings, CAT exposures, and reinsurance structures, as well as the ability to influence underwriting strategy and enhance governance frameworks. The ideal candidate will be adept at portfolio analytics, and program performance tracking, and will have a strong ability to drive profitable growth within specialized segments. Cross-functional collaboration is also a key aspect of the role, requiring the candidate to partner with various internal teams to ensure the success of the programs.
