Overview

Education : Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience : 1 to less than 7 months

Responsibilities

- Interpret welding process specifications
- Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes
- Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications
- Operate metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
- Determine weldability of materials
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment

Experience and Specialization

- Type of materials: Aluminum alloys, Stainless steel, Steel, iron, and heavy metals
- Welding techniques:



Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW)
- Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine, Gas welding machine
- Area of specialization: Custom fabrication
