About the Role

The Company is in search of a President to lead its newly established philanthropic foundation. The successful candidate will be a strategic development leader and accomplished fundraiser, responsible for shaping and leading a national fundraising entity in support of the company's significant cultural institutions. This role involves establishing and leading the foundation's fundraising strategy and operations, driving the planning and launch of comprehensive fundraising campaigns, and ensuring that the philanthropic program is aligned with the museums' strategic priorities. The President will also be tasked with building a robust governance structure, fostering a culture of accountability, and serving as the public face of the foundation, cultivating relationships with donors,



partners, and volunteers.

Applicants for the President position should have a minimum of 10 years' of progressive leadership experience in fundraising, philanthropy, or advancement, with a proven record of securing major gifts and leading campaigns. Experience in a cultural, educational, or Crown corporation environment is an asset. The role requires a visionary, entrepreneurial leader with strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively with a highly engaged Board, and a commitment to the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion. The President will be expected to have a clear understanding of the value of the company's mission, and to be adept at recruiting, developing, and leading high-performing fundraising teams. Strong financial literacy, knowledge of CRA regulations for charities, and experience in governance and compliance are also essential qualifications for this position.
