Responsibilities

- Read and translate blueprints, drawings and illustrations to determine specifications and calculate demands.
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using gauging tools.
- Measure, cut, form, assemble and join materials constructed from timber, wood replacements, lightweight steel and other materials.
- Construct structures, install floor beams,



lay subflooring and erect walls and roofing systems.
- Work settings include commercial, industrial and institutional projects.

Qualifications

- No degree, certificate or diploma required.
- Experience: None required.
- Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, hard hat.
- Physical abilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, standing, walking; capable of performing physical tasks in a construction environment.
