Make a difference in the lives of students as a School Social Worker at School District 60. This role focuses on supporting emotional and social well-being within Indigenous Education programming.
In this position, starting September 1, 2026, you will engage in both direct and indirect services to enhance students' educational experiences. Your responsibilities will include assisting students facing various challenges and collaborating with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to provide essential support. This is a full-time role, requiring 40 hours a week with flexible schedule to accommodate school needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide information to outside support services for student assistance
• Support at-risk students and those with disabilities
• Communicate with parents and educators for holistic care
• Maintain comprehensive student case files and reports
• Help families access community resources for multiple crises
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Social Work
• Valid social work license in BC preferred
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Experience with community agency liaison
• Willingness to travel to various school locations
