Position Summary

The Personal Support Worker (PSW) provides high-quality personal care and assistance with daily living activities in clients’ homes or community settings. The PSW plays a vital role in ensuring clients feel safe, respected, and supported.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)
- Assist with mobility and safe transfers
- Support meal preparation and feeding assistance
- Perform light housekeeping related to client care
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Monitor and report changes in client condition to the Care Coordinator
- Assist with medication reminders (as per care plan)




- Maintain accurate documentation and client records
- Follow infection prevention and safety protocolsUphold client confidentiality and professional standards

Qualifications

- PSW Certificate from an accredited institution
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification
- Up-to-date immunizations (including TB screening)
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Previous home care or long-term care experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred)
