PROFILE SUMMARY

Wesgroup is seeking a skilled, customer-focused Deficiency Technicia n to join our Customer Care team in a one-year fixed-term position. In this hands-on role, you will complete high-quality deficiency repairs and finishing work across residential construction projects and occupied homes, helping ensure repairs are completed efficiently, professionally, and to Wesgroup quality standards.

Working closely with homeowners, trade partners, and internal teams, you will assess and resolve a variety of construction deficiencies while supporting project completion, warranty service, anda positive customer experience.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Complete deficiency repairs and finishing work related to drywall, painting, caulking, cabinet adjustments, countertop repairs, flooring, tile, hardware, trim, mullions, and other finishing elements.
- Assess deficiencies, determineappropriate repairmethods, select suitable materials and tools, and complete repairs efficiently whilemaintainingquality expectations and project timelines.




- Support warranty service activities within occupied homes by evaluating reported deficiencies and completing repairs whereappropriate.
- Coordinate professionally with homeowners, Customer Care team members, Quality Control personnel, Construction, Property Management, and trade partners to ensure concerns are addressedin a timely manner.
- Inspect completed work to ensure repairs meet Wesgroup quality standards and customer expectations, whileidentifyingrecurring issues and communicating concerns to management.
- Maintain safe work practices,participateintrainingand process improvement initiatives, and stay current on repair techniques, materials, tools, and industry best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

- High School Diploma/GEDrequired; trade certification, apprenticeship training, or coursework in carpentry, finishing trades, drywall, painting, construction, ora relateddiscipline is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on residential construction, repair, finishing, renovation, warranty service, or trade-related experience.
- Experience completing drywall repairs, painting, and finishing work; experience with a residential developer, builder, renovation company, or warranty service provider is an asset.
- Strong technical skills in drywall repair, residential painting andcolourmatching, caulking and sealant application, cabinet/hardware/trim/millwork adjustments, tile, flooring, countertop and surface repair, and general carpentry.
- Ability to assess deficiencies,determinepractical repair solutions, and complete work with strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Strong customer service and communication skills,



with professionalism to work directly with homeowners, residents, internal teams, and trades.
- Ability to safelyoperatehand tools and repair equipment, and comfort working in a physical, site-based environment with regular travel between sites and homes.

EXPECTED COMPENSATION

- Annual Base Salary: The expected salary range for this role is $75,000-$84,000 per annum. Actualsalary offeredwill depend on individual experience, qualifications, geographic location, market conditions for the role, and internal equity.
