About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President for its North American Corporate Real Estate Ratings team. The successful candidate will be a key player in the assessment of the creditworthiness of a diverse range of real estate entities, with a primary focus on the Canadian real estate sector. This role demands a professional with a minimum of eight years' experience in corporate credit analysis, research, or investment banking,



and a deep understanding of the challenges within the Canadian commercial real estate industry. Responsibilities include leading recent and existing coverage of real estate mandates, conducting in-depth financial and industry research, and preparing high-quality rating reports. The role also involves contributing to the development of rating methodologies, mentoring junior analysts, and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders.

Applicants for the Vice President position at the company should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, with a professional designation or a Master's degree. Completion of the CFA program is considered a plus. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of the Canadian commercial real estate industry, including the legal documentation associated with real estate transactions, and strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of IFRS and US GAAP accounting as it relates to real estate. Excellent communication, both verbal and written, is essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a self-starter who is a team player and is willing to travel as necessary.
