Dexter Construction, part of the Municipal group of Companies is a large, diversified Construction Company engaged in all major aspects of the heavy civil construction industry within the Atlantic Provinces. We are currently seeking the expertise of a CAD Technician based out of Bedford, NS.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

- Perform earthwork volumetric computations.
- Develop plans and calculate material takeoffs in Civil 3D.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
- Aggressively seek out opportunities to provide support as a value-added member of the team.
- Ensure CAD standards and procedures are followed for all drawings and calculations.
- Work closely and collaborate with Estimating Team
- Any other duties as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, And Experience

- Minimum 2 years of experience with AutoCad Civil 3D.
- Experience in current civil construction methods.




- Remotely Piloted Aircraft System experience would be considered an asset.
- Ability to interpret Geotechnical Reports.
- Suitable candidates require previous experience or training in a CAD Technician role, ideally from a survey/highways/mining/construction background.
- Post-secondary education with a concentration in surveying/engineering is preferred.
- Experience with MS Office Suite would be an asset.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision, as well as in a team workplace.
- Must have a valid drivers’ license.
