Chef De Partie (NOC 62200) – The Lake Louise Ski Resort

Location: 1 Whitehorn Rd, Lake Louise, AB T0L 1E0. On‑site requirements. Work must be completed at this physical location; no remote work possible.

Salary: $25.00–$27.00 hourly (negotiable). Hours: 35–40 per week, including early morning, evening, shift, flexible hours. Overtime available.

Terms: Permanent employment, full‑time.

Start date: As soon as possible.

Requirements:

- Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.
- 2–< 3 years of experience.
- Work location must be on‑site.
- Physical ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment with tight deadlines.
- Must be able to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, kneel.
- Excellent oral communication, interpersonal skills, initiative, organization.
- Team player, dependable, flexible, reliable, and efficient.
- Leadership: train staff, supervise activities, recruit and hire staff.

Responsibilities:

- Estimate amounts and costs of supplies and food items.
- Estimate labor costs and maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.




- Analyze operating costs and other data.
- Demonstrate current cooking techniques and equipment to staff.
- Supervise specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
- Create new recipes and instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation.
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events (banquets, weddings, etc.).
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies, arrange equipment purchases and repairs.
- Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions.
- Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards, including catering for allergies or intolerances.
- Recruit, hire, train staff.
- Lead and instruct individuals.
