Responsibilities

- Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand
- Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products
- Maintain professionalism in customer service
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Keep a record of items received and delivered
- Load and unload goods
- Sort packages for delivery
- Use maps and other trip planning aids
- Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle

Qualifications

- Education:



Secondary (high school) graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
- Licence: Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles)
- Travel experience: Local, Regional
- Other: Criminal record check, Driver's abstract
- Physical: Able to walk, handle up to 45 kg (100 lbs), fast-paced environment, work under pressure
- Tools: Cellular phone
- Personal suitability: Client focus, flexibility, organized, reliability, accurate, punctuality
