This full-time role combines leadership and hands-on operational support, aimed at fostering a proactive safety culture while ensuring compliance. As the Safety & Training Manager, you will work closely with operational leaders to develop and implement safety programs while engaging employees to strengthen safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the Health & Safety function within a unionized workplace
• Develop and implement Occupational Health & Safety programs
• Promote employee participation and leadership engagement




• Act as liaison with WorkSafeBC on safety matters
• Conduct incident investigations and workplace inspections
Requirements:
• Post-secondary certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
• Minimum 7 years of OH&S; experience
• At least 5 years in leadership roles
• Solid knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
