Support the well-being of families through your role as a Recreation Therapy Assistant. Create engaging recreational programs that promote healing and connection in a welcoming workplace.
In this full-time role, you’ll be essential to developing and delivering programs that serve both adults and children. Collaboration is key as you work with the Programs Manager and volunteers to ensure the activities foster emotions of comfort and joy. Monitoring the effectiveness of the programs and adapting them based on feedback will help maximize their impact on families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver recreation therapy programs
• Facilitate activities with volunteer assistance
• Assess and improve program efficacy consistently
• Coordinate meaningful family trips and celebrations
• Maintain accurate program documentation
Requirements:
• Qualification in Recreation Therapy or similar
• Experience in non-profit program delivery
• Familiarity with trauma-informed practices
• Strong ability to manage tasks independently
• Commitment to teamwork and family-centric care
