Status: Term

Responsibilities

- Prepare meals as outlined on the daily menu.
- Prepare food for special meetings and events.
- Do preparation for the next day's meals.
- Always maintain a clean and sanitary workplace.
- Report any safety issues to manager.
- All other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Must be familiar with the Canada Food Guide and ready to prepare meals according to special dietary needs.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Reliable and able to work all shifts.
- Ability to lift 10 kg.
- Ability to work as a team member.

Required Experience and Skills

- Successful completion of secondary school or equivalency.
- Completion of Culinary School is an asset and/or one year experience in volume cooking, preferably hospital setting.




- Possession of or the ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate is an asset.
- Knowledge of dietary department procedures.
- Knowledge in the proper handling and storage of food and ability to follow the dietary sanitation code.

Salary: $26.36 - $28.62
