This role involves working at both Wellington and Manhattan Place community care homes. You’ll support youth with complex needs, enhancing their life and social skills while helping them access community resources. The position blends caregiving with educational development, emphasizing relationship-building and cultural awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide trauma-informed care and support for daily needs
• Assist in developing life, social, and household skills
• Facilitate recreational, educational, and cultural activities
• Accompany youth to appointments and activities as required
• Model positive behaviors and relationships for youth
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Human Services
• Experience in youth work or community leadership
• Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and practices
• Skills in crisis intervention and communication
• Valid Driver’s License and background checks
