Responsibilities

- Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required.
- Maintain Ontario Provincial Highways year‑round, assisting with labourer duties such as pothole repair, guardrail repair, bridge and signage cleaning, and hazard remediation.
- Work outside in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

- Valid AZ or DZ driver’s license with air endorsement.
- Provide a copy of a 3‑year commercial driver’s abstract.
- Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a solid asset.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting 50lbs., bending, kneeling, crouching, and other similar activities.

Work Conditions

- Shift work, on‑call, and night shift required.
- Work schedule consists of either 5 consecutive days followed by 2 days off or 6 consecutive days followed by 1 day off,



with daily shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours (shop specific).
- Local applicants will be given preference due to the location of the work.
- CLAC union position.

Compensation

$25.50–$33.50 per hour. This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location. Remote or site‑based positions may be eligible for additional incentives, including travel and accommodation allowances.

Premiums: $3/hour AZ Premium when directed to operate equipment that require AZ, $5/hour Grader Operator premium (does not apply to employees holding the Grader Operator classification).
