This position encompasses supervising the Workplace Department's day-to-day activities, focusing on regulatory compliance and environmental policy implementation. Reporting to the Superintendent, Environmental, you will play a crucial role in mitigating environmental risks associated with mining operations. Candidates should possess leadership experience and a background in environmental science.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coach and supervise Environment Department staff effectively
• Direct external consultants for environmental tasks
• Develop and manage the Environmental Management System




• Lead on-site monitoring and ensure timely data collection
• Ensure adherence to all environmental regulatory requirements
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Environmental Management
• Minimum of 5 years in a mining-related role
• Strong organizational and data management skills
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s Licence; Mine Supervisor Certificate is a plus
• Willingness to train for additional necessary certifications
