Overview On Call Math & Science Tutor sought by Oxford Learning Centres Inc. (New Westminster, BC). This part-time role supports Gr6-12 math and science tutoring with in-centre and online teaching, following Oxford Learning methodologies. Responsibilities (Position Details) Teach up to 3 students at a time, at different levels, in-person and online Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies Fill in post-lesson notes and complete daily student communication updates Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor at all times What You’ll Do Directly work with students as an Interactive Coach Help students develop self-confidence and self-esteem Contribute to a positive learning environment with high student engagement Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field (fourth-year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered) Teaching certification is an asset Strong knowledge of Grades 1-12 math and science curricula, including senior math (Advanced Functions, algebra, trigonometry, calculus) and science subjects (vectors, physics, chemistry, biology)
