We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized Recreation Aide who is committed to delivering exceptional resident experiences and contributing to a positive team environment.

What You’ll Do

- Lead and support resident activities based on their needs, abilities, and interests, adjusting programs as needed with guidance from the supervisor.
- Work closely with the recreation team, sharing updates on resident participation and engagement.
- Facilitate, encourage and support residents to join a variety of meaningful and enjoyable programs.
- Deliver activity sessions such as arts and crafts, music, sports, cooking, gardening, and exercise; set up materials, provide demonstrations, and document resident participation.
- Support outings by ensuring residents have appropriate clothing and equipment, coordinating movement, and assisting with activity instruction.
- Maintain accurate attendance records for all programs.
- Guide and support volunteers during activities,



ensuring they understand program expectations and techniques.

What You Bring

- Food Safe Certificate is required.
- Completion of a recognized Recreation or Rehabilitation Certificate is preferred.
- Two years of recent experience supporting seniors in a housing or care environment—especially delivering programs within a social model—is considered a strong asset.
- First Aid and current CPR certification are required.
- Valid Class 4 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract.
- A transparent Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- A negative TB test and up-to-date immunization record.
