The Lower Nicola Indian Band is searching for an engaged Nłeʔkepmx Language and Culture Teacher. Reporting to the Education Sector, you will create culturally immersive lessons and experiences grounded in identity and traditions. Collaborating with elders and families, you will strengthen student connections to community values, merging educational practices with culturally rich learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver culturally engaging Nłeʔkepmx language lessons
• Foster a secure space for language learning
• Integrate First Peoples Principles of Learning




• Design land-based and community learning experiences
• Create and adapt culturally relevant educational resources
Requirements:
• Valid BC Teaching Certificate or Language Fluency Degree
• Experience in language or cultural education
• Familiarity with First Peoples educational principles
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check for vulnerable sectors
