In this exciting role, as a member of the interprofessional team, you will work closely with the Physician to provide care to lower acuity emergency patients. You will utilize your strong clinical, patient teaching, and communication skills in a fast‑paced environment focused on patient/family centered care and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses
- Current BLS certification
- Recent RPN experience in an Emergency Department required
- Completion of an accredited college Coronary Care 1 program or proof of demonstrated current enrollment or equivalent required, or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Previous experience in a fracture/plastic clinic is an asset
- Previous experience in patient education, suture removal, dressing changes and assisting with minor procedures; Td immunizations is an asset
- Medication Certificate
- RPNAO membership is preferred
- Excellent physical assessment skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Demonstrated commitment to a patient/family centered care environment
- Demonstrated excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team
- Well developed organization, communication, interpersonal and teaching skills
- Evidence of ongoing professional development, continuing education and leadership experience
- Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
- Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others by complying with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices, and completing relevant mandatory education as required
Work Schedule
The successful candidate must be available to work 8‑ and 12‑hour shifts. The main shift for this role is 0730‑1930, 0930‑2130, 1230‑0030, 1930‑0730. Days, evenings, nights shifts and rotating weekends. Schedules may change due to operational needs.
Compensation
CUI 10. Range: $37.64 – $39.02 per hour.
