As an Engineering Technologist, you will report to the Director of Operations and manage all municipal surveying activities. Key responsibilities include maintaining city plans, conducting various surveys, and preparing design drawings for infrastructure projects. You will also oversee capital project construction and maintain asset registry data, ensuring compliance with asset management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct topographic and preliminary surveys for municipal projects
• Maintain and revise existing plans and city infrastructure documentation
• Prepare technical drawings from field notes and existing data
• Oversee capital project construction as directed
• Support the City's Emergency Plan when necessary
Requirements:
• Grade 12 and a Civil Engineering Technology diploma
• 1-2 years of municipal engineering experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and surveying technologies
• Valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver's License
• Physically able to perform all job-related tasks
