Help create meaningful outdoor experiences as a Summer Outdoor Social Experience Guide with AAFS in Calgary. This full time summer role involves supporting neurodiverse individuals through engaging community activities.
Join the Autism Aspergers Friendship Society (AAFS) as a Summer Outdoor Social Experience Guide, where your role will focus on planning and facilitating outdoor, camping, and recreational programs. You will support participants in building life skills and confidence while enjoying active community engagement. This role is suited for proactive candidates with a passion for inclusion and community-building.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning outdoor, recreational, and sports activities
• Provide safe and supportive guidance during programs




• Encourage participant confidence through social engagement
• Maintain strong communication with participants and team
• Update participant information and report to leadership
Requirements:
• Minimum age of 18 required
• Clean Class 5 Alberta driver's license needed
• Relevant experience in support or educational roles preferred
• Must pass a Police Check and Intervention Record Check
• Available for 35 hours per week during summer 2026
