As a Community Midwife at IWK, you will offer essential maternity care, supporting families from pregnancy through six weeks postpartum. Seeing 3-4 clients each month, your role involves teamwork with the Women’s and Newborn Program, providing continuity and culturally responsive care. We pride ourselves on building a safe setting in collaboration with our healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver personalized maternity care in various settings
• Foster collegial relationships within care teams
• Ensure access to continuous care post-birth




• Participate actively in call coverage and clinic rotations
• Meet the needs of diverse and marginalized communities
Requirements:
• Midwifery education from a recognized Canadian institution
• Required certifications in CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation
• Recent relevant practice experience in Midwifery
• Must have a class 5 driver's license and dependable vehicle
• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills
